We Must Return To God

This was, safe to say, the general concensus at the First Federated Church in Des Moines, Iowa for the Thanksgiving Family Forum on Nov. 19.

An Article by the Catholic News Agency shared that the Republican Presidential Hopefuls that were present…Rick Santorum, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), businessman Herman Cain, Texas Governor Rick Perry, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich…all spoke of their Faith Journeys, what the phrase “So Help Me God” at the Swearing-In means to each of them and most important, they shared how Our American Society has to Return To God!

It is definitely worth a Read!  Please do so here.

These are a few of my favorite quotes, this hopefully will entice you further.

Freedom without responsibility is immoral.

~ Herman Cain

Society has a duty to live according to God’s principles. As long as issues such as abortion remain legal, “we will never have rest.”

~ Rick Santorum and Michelle Bauman, CNA

I do hope that this means we are entering an era when we shall once again be

One Nation Under God….

  1. This is really good. We all have a lot to think about this upcoming election.
If only Catholics would remember to vote our “faith” and the Church and her teachings, maybe some of this would get resolved.

I do not understand how a Catholic can go and vote for someone who is pro-abortion. Now that does get my “dander up” and then call yourself Catholic???? To me a Catholic who does such is no more than a “heathen.” Yes, I said it, and will say it again:>)

God Bless for this post. SR

    1. Ignorance is rampant!

I am a Cradle Catholic. Born and Raised in the Faith. However, many of my questions and doubts were not addressed.
And even that statement is not fair, I did not Search in the Right Places!

I would ask friends here and there. I asked my Mamá Lola many things, some were answered, others not.
Other times, MOST of the time, I counted on my own Reason and Logic to deduce the Answers!
      Such Arrogance, it’s FUNNY!!!

Now, as I get older…I want to say wiser, but that would be so not true! As I get older, I have learned where to seek answers. I have learned to take responsibility in my Faith.

Now, had I done this years ago…well, my life may have been a tad simpler 😉 As I would have been Rooted in Christ ♥

      But it’s NEVER TOO LATE!!!

Oh, and it’s true…Youth is wasted on the Young 😉

      God Love You, SR ♥

  2. How true “youth is wasted on the young.” Ignorance is a part of all of us.

One time I was praying for these aborted babies and God spoke to my soul and said, “They have always killed my babies.”

I got to thinking from Exodus to the “slaughtering of the Innocent” God’s babies have always been killed. Then my thoughts went to the flight of Egypt, how our Blessed Mother’s and Joseph’s heart must have been so broken at the thought of what they were leaving behind.

I then had to ask myself, “Why is it always the “babies?” I decided it is because they have no voice, other than ours. At that moment I decided I would be one of their voices.

    God Bless, SR

    1. ♥ Good For You!!! It takes Great Courage and Commitment to become a voice for the Voiceless….

I also think it is always the Babies because they Embody Hope. They Embody the Future…Infinite Possibilities. They are Pure, Innocence, Love ♥

Thus, what better way to keep people oppressed, living in fear, than to destroy Hopes, Life, Love and Dreams…Kill our Innocence…

Heaven Help Us…And May Our Lady of Guadalupe Defeat our New Culture of Death!

      Eh-men ♥
