St. Joseph the Worker, Pray for Us. Day 5.

Powerful Novena to Saint Joseph (Over 1900 years old)

O St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong,
so prompt before the Throne of God,
I place in you all my interests and desires.

O St. Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession
and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings
through Jesus Christ, Our Lord;
so that having engaged here below your Heavenly power
I may offer my Thanksgiving and Homage to the most Loving of Fathers.

O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms.
I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart.
Press him in my name and kiss His fine Head for me,
and ask Him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath.

St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for us.

Amen.

Say for nine consecutive mornings for anything you may desire.
It has seldom been known to fail.

To Trust in You.  That is what I should have always been asking.

Help me to Trust In You.

You Know my Needs. You Know the Prayers in my Heart.

But more than that.  You Know I am foolish.  You know I lack Faith the size of a Mustard Seed…

Thus, what I as is for Faith and Trust in You Alone, Always.

If you Grant me this, NOTHING else matters…

Amen.

  1. I forgot about this prayer! I love this one…especially the “I never weary contemplating…” I used to say this, rocking my son Joseph to sleep when he was a baby…now he’s almost 11!
I have just written the prayer into my prayer book/journal and I’ll be saying it. I’m hoping that St Joseph will back date my novena a little bit…for a special decision to be made on Tuesday! Only 4 days…but I’ll keep saying the prayer, I promise! =) Thanks for sharing!

    1. I can imagine how reading the Prayer must have taken you back to those Precious Moments with your Baby…yes, as a Mom, I know they will forever be our Babies, whether they like it or not, no matter how old they are.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and especially to comment.

      I am Much Obliged.

God Love You and Your Precious Family as well ♥
