Prayer

When in doubt…Pray…

Then, Pray some more…

But not just any kind of Prayer, no.  It must be as Fr. Ron Rolheiser so clearly puts it:

…Prayer, especially when […we] feel most alone and desperate, is marked by three things: honesty, directness, and humility. […We must] lift […our] own minds and hearts to God, not someone else’s. […We must…] share […our] aloneness and fears with shameless honestly. There is no pretense, no rationalization, no hiding of weaknesses. […We must] pour out [our…] fears, […our] inadequac[ies], […our] temptations, and […our] confusion, as do children, begging for someone’s hand to help them.

I must be patient…

I must be consistent…

I must be Broken…

Help Me, Señor…

Guide Me…

Fortify Me…

Give me Courage, Strength, Humility and Discipline…

Here, you will find Fr. Rolheiser’s complete article.  Take the time to digest it. Take the time to be Inspired and Guided.

May you have a Most Blessed 2012!
