El que mucho abarca, poco aprieta.
I have shared Dichos with you before. Long, long ago.
Dichos are sayings, maxims, little nuggets of wisdom. I was fortunate enough to have a Grandfather, my Papá Eliseo, that spoke with Dichos. 🙂
I didn’t know it at the time, but what a Blessing it was! Of course being so young while he was still with us, May he rest in Peace, I thought him a bit different. I could not understand what he was trying to say half the time. It is only now as an adult that I can understand and truly appreciate how much he passed on to me in such a short amount of time. ♥
So what does the dicho above say?
Literally, He who encompasses much, tightens very little.
The English equivalent, Spreading oneself too thin!
I judge that it is an ailment for us all. What with our smart devices, as it is not just phones anymore, we can accomplish so much! We can multitask quite easily! We are just awesome!
But…yes, the BUT…
Where is our attention focused. On whom? Are we present in mind as well as physically? And what is my biggest challenge at present, taking on way too much!
There is hope though! Boundaries and saying NO!
Yes, takes practice, but hey, New Year, New Practices, right?
