What Does an Illegal Immigrant Look Like?

So, what does an illegal immigrant look like?

Arizona’s Governor Jan Brewer said herself she does not know what an illegal immigrant looks like.  She stated that “there are some people in Arizona that assume they know what an illegal immigrant looks like, but that she didn’t know if they knew that for a fact or not (Arizona Immigration Battle, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLafP8Qrp7I&feature=channel).

So again, tell me how S.B. 1070 is not a bill that condones Racial Profiling?  Forgive me, NEEDS Racial Profiling as its Foundation to work?

Here are some of the Provisions:

• Requires officials and agencies to reasonably attempt to determine the immigration status of a person involved in a lawful contact where reasonable suspicion exists regarding the immigration status of the person, except if the determination may hinder or obstruct an investigation.
• Stipulates that a law enforcement official or agency cannot solely consider race, color or national origin when implementing these provisions, except as permitted by the U.S. or Arizona Constitution.
• Indemnifies officers against actions brought under these provisions, except if the officer has been adjudged to have acted in bad faith.
• Stipulates that these provisions are to be implemented consistent with federal immigration law protecting the civil right of all persons and respecting the privileges and immunities of US citizens

So…Gov. Brewer stated that she would not tolerate racial profiling…which she shouldn’t!  It would be a BLATANT disregard of the Bill of Rights.

Well, they are going to have to ask everyone  for proof that they are NOT illegals.  They are going to need some type of legal documentation.   “A valid federal, state or local government issued identification, if the issuing entity requires proof of legal presence before issuance” (SB 1070).  If not, they would be violating the Equal Protection Clause.

Now, many, many of us here in Canada and in the US drive without our licenses.  Sometimes we forget our wallets, purses, etc and thereby forgetting our License.  So here again, in Arizona, if you forget your license and you are asked for it, you will not have it, or any type of government issued ID, I suppose then it can be considered “reasonable suspicion.”  But…

There exists the 5th Amendment, due process, which is also in the 14th Amendment.  I had to go over this in my law class over and over and over again, I LOVED IT!  Never more so than now.  Due Process can be defined in these layman’s term FAIRNESS!  The 5th Amendment also protects against self-incrimination.  Basically then, you don’t have to answer any of the police officer’s questions in regards to your legal status!

Finally, what ever happened to “Innocent until proven Guilty?”  It is the STATE’S burden to prove your guilt, not ours to prove our innocence.

So again, I ask you…What Does an Illegal Immigrant Look Like?

I guess AZ officers will just have to stop every single person in the state.  White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, etc.  Otherwise they will be breaking our Civil Rights.  Wait, they will be breaking them regardless.

This LAW cannot stand.  It is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

This Law passed and is being fueled by a murder that is being blamed on someone whose tracks lead into Mexico.

“Carl:” “Emotions are high right now in part because of the recent killing of one of our great Arizonians. Mr. Krentz was a good  man and he will be missed.  From what I hear he will be missed by both Americans and illegal aliens. It is my understanding that he went out of his way to help the illegal’s that were in need on his property.  I watch the news every night and read the Internet daily.  I have yet to see one news story report on this killing done impartially.  No body in law enforcement has a clue who killed Mr. Krentz. Yet every news agency reports that it was probably a drug trafficker. These claims are baseless. All the evidence shows is that he knew his killer. The truth is that it could have been anybody.

Actually, KGUN9 did double check this after getting an earlier challenge on the matter from some of our viewers.  Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever believes the signs point to an illegal crosser — the killer’s trail led to the border.  Attorney General Terry Goddard has said the signs suggest Krentz encountered a scout from one of the Mexican drug cartels.  But investigators stress that they do not have a suspect in mind and that neither the nationality nor the immigration status of the killer is known.  KGUN9  pressed harder and asked, what if it turns out the killer was not an illegal crosser?  Would that knock the props from beneath the renewed arguments that border security is out of control?  Dever’s office says “no,” and points to stats that show crime related to illegal crossing are surging out of control.  KGUN9 has talked to many residents in the area who feel the same way, including some who have been crime victims themselves (

Here, are what the lay folks are saying about this same case:

Two weeks ago, Arizona rancher Rob Krentz got out of bed, got on his quad and went out to a pasture on his own land. He was not bothering anyone and he was not being some kind of radical. He was simply going out to one of his pastures to work on some fence and some water lines.

He soon found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time ON HIS OWN PROPERTY, and was shot and killed by an illegal with a mule-load of pot. So some smugglers who were breaking the law by being in the country illegally in the first place, and trespassing by crossing Krentz’s land without permission in the second place, murdered him in the third place because they were protecting their illegal payload in the fourth place (Yahoo Answers).

It must seem that I am not addressing the elephant in the room.

THIS IS RACISM PLAIN AND SIMPLE!

That is why the outcry from Church Officials, that is why the Criticism from President Obama, that is why the Outcry of so Many Organizations.

How can a country that is “acting” so Progressive, fall so far Back?

We all know who will be stopped, who will be questioned, who will be harrassed…HISPANICS, MEXICANS, ANYONE WITH BROWN SKIN!  It will be even worse if you have an Accent!

Please people, let us call it what it is…Racial Profiling, a Justification for Racism.

I to this day cannot understand how people can still fall for the Bread and Circus.  Can no one see that Hispanics are the scapegoats?  Something goes wrong, we find someone to blame.

The economy is bad in the US.  Why not do the WORK and read where the money is REALLY going?  Check the government’s spending.  Check to see where 85% of the Income in the US goes.  NOT to the Middle Classes.  Especially Not to the Lower Classes…It goes to the Top 5…yes, 5 PERCENT!

What about the jobs?  Illegals are taking them!  Wrong again.  Do your homework.  Read and find out that many, many jobs are moving overseas.  California used to thrive on its agriculture, it is practically all gone.  There once was a time when we had a lot, a lot of oranges.  Orange groves as far as the eye could see.  Now, CA is more a service state.  It depends on Taxes to survive.  So how are the illegals taking those jobs?  Maybe it is those bus boy jobs that everyone is fighting for.  Or perhaps the dishwasher position.  I know, it’s the Janitorial positions that we are all fighting for and updating our resumés for.

If you do your homework again, most of the people in those positions are legal aliens.  Those who aren’t legal, well they pay into the system and do not file for refunds.  Do the math, how much money is the government keeping from those non-refunded income taxes?

But wait, illegals are sucking the system for welfare and healthcare.  Again, do your homework.  You need to be a citizen or in the very least a legal resident to obtain benefits.  Illegals cannot!

Here is the REALITY of what this law is doing.  Here are some comments that I have read and given me CHILLS:

Do we not see the encroachment on Civil Rights, it starts with one group, but it will not stop there.  We have already given up many rights thanks to the USA PATRIOT Act, which we will not be getting back any time soon, if EVER!  Do we really need a Police State?

This person is way wrong.  Illegal immigration is not only a Mexican Occurence.  Many Asians enter the US illegaly via Mexico.  And again, once you open the door to racism, where is it going to stop?

• CBS, how is protecting your country “divisive?” How about getting the illegal sitting in the White House out. He’s an Indonesian citizen, born in Kenya.

• Why should any illegile not go through the constitutional way to gain US citizenhip? No, they had rather sneak in (with governments approval), then still have the right to our health card, dental, food stamps, money eah month from Government aid .. and drivers license and still be able to draw S. S.This country is fallng apart anyway, without having illegals bringing in coke and all other drugs and filing our jails all over the nation. Besides the other crimes llegals committ; some of them hineous. An they shouldn’t even be here! We have enough of our own doing those things, so what do we need them for!Give America back to the people that were born and bred here!!!!!!

• Yeah right. Millions of Americans cannot get jobs, but all these illegal aliens not only have jobs, but they receive all kinds of benefits most Americans cannot receive. It’s all B.S. and they need to be gone! I can’t believe that OBAMA the world’s Savior at my expense is not supporting this bill. This bill should be a Federal Government Bill. It should be the LAW OF THE LAND. If you can’t prove you are a citizen, or applying for citizenship, or here on a Visa, then you need to leave! It is NOT against ANYONE’S Civil Rights that we will not support Illegal Aliens. Wake Up America.
  The only people who are against this law are people who are illegal or people who get votes by supporting illegals. Americans do not want illegals here, and if they are working for you, then stop the minimum wage law, and other Americans would be able to work for you.
