You ‘Member Some More?

It is totally unfair to just share a Jam that reminds me of one of my siblings when I have 4!

Here is the one for Dah-Lola, my Coma-Sis.

Now she was Hard Core!  She had the Big Cholita Hair, the Huge Group of Cholito Friends, She was is aggressive, in your face, tell it like it is, and Watch Out when she gets Mad!!  Hijole!!  And yet, she is Loyal, a True Sister and Friend. 😎

I Love this song.  Nothing says Chicano, Mexican-American, or Brown Pride like MC Kid Frost’s “La Raza!” 

Although LSOB’s “Chillin’ on a Sunday Afternoon” speaks to what Dah-Lola and her Friends did, this one speaks more to who she, all my siblings and I represent and are. 

We speak Caló, we are Proud of our Mexican Roots.  The Violence, yeah, not so much.  But we can and do get all Proud when speaking of Brown Pride, each of us in our own way.  Even if one of us is “Whiter” in its expression 😛
