He Never Leaves Our Side…

Litany of Humility

~ Rafael Cardinal Merry del Val

O Jesus, meek and humble of heart! Hear me.

From the desire of being esteemed,

From the desire of being loved,

From the desire of being sought after,

From the desire of being honored,

From the desire of being praised,

From the desire of being preferred to others,

From the desire of being consulted,

From the desire of being approved,

Deliver me, Jesus.

From the fear of being humbled,

From the fear of being despised,

From the fear of suffering rebuffs,

From the fear of being calumniated,

From the fear of being forgotten,

From the fear of being ridiculed,

From the fear of being injured,

From the fear of being suspected,

Deliver me, Jesus.

That others may be loved more than I,

That in the opinion of the world, others may increase,
and I may decrease,

That others may be chosen and I set aside,

That others may be praised and I unnoticed,

That others be preferred to me in everything,

That others may be more holy than I, provided I may become as holy as I should.

Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.

    1. Hmmm…Good Question…
I know He’s always telling me to Be Patient, Merciful and Understanding 😕
I seem to FAIL Epically in these areas! I need, NEED to practice many virtues, Humility of course, but these 3…they are my Nemesis…

As for you…Hmmmm, perhaps He wants you to Prepare yourself for the “attacks” you will receive due to what you write.

Being a Practicing Catholic is Quite Politically INcorrect.
Perhaps He’s providing Fortitude to withstand it all ♥

But be assured that we will find out…Oh yes…we will find out, all too soon 😉

      God Love You, SR ♥

  2. Oh yes, being Catholic is very “Politically Incorrect” Sometimes I can get my “dander” up, especially if they attack the Church, Pope, Mary, etc… I do
not get any against Christ. I usually can handle it pretty good as one hit me yesterday on my http://tolaughandcrywithyou.wordpress.com “This Prayer Baffles Me.” The one who made the comments I think his name is piddlebill.
I usually send them on down the road. (This will give you an idea on how I handle them) Eventually I will trash his comments all together. I let them stay up awhile, to let others know “what I will and will not put up with.)

If they are really getting harsh, I trash their comments, especially if they go after one of my followers. I can usually tell what kind of “Christians” they are by their first comment. My blogs are not about bashing others, and I will not let them become that.

As you say, “We will find out.” Of that we can be assured. God Bless, SR

    1. It is FUN to be a rebel though, is it not??
      To go against the Grain!

Fortunately, and this is what constantly brings me solace, is that we are not alone…

There are many of us out there, we just do not seem to have a voice…YET!

      God Love You, SR ♥

      Keep up the Good Fight!

  3. A bride now has the ability to make her choices in a relaxed
and comfortable setting. You are going to look and feel like
a princess on your wedding day and as you make that
walk down the aisle your prince charming will be waiting.

It’ verts imperative to obtain an ideal ensemble and
    supercharge your allure.
