Arizona third-grader Cassandra Garcia came home with an end-of-term award no parent wants their child to receive — the “catastrophe award” for the most excuses for not having her homework done.

    1. I understand what you’re saying…but at the same time…I do not think that this type of behaviour will Motivate a child, if anything it may be Very Counterproductive…

  1. This is very sad, I would not have waited till the end of year and label this child in this manner. The parent should have been notified during the year that there we missing homework assignments. There should have been more concern about the child, what was going on in her private home life that she was not able to do her homework? Why keep a total of the excuses, why not get the reasons?
