I am sitting in on an RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) class.
Why?
To learn more about my faith. Plain and simple.
As children we don’t stop learning in second grade and then have a crash course as teens. Learning and obtaining your education is a process.
And yet, when it comes to our Faith, we learn a bit about it as kids in second grade for First Reconciliation and First Communion and then don’t do much else until Confirmation and many don’t step in a church again until our wedding day…and yet we claim not only to be Catholic, but we dare to say we KNOW our Faith.
Riiiiiiiight.
Faith is composed of Intellect and Will.
This is one if the first statements out forth in the class.
Thus, I ask…Do I use these two gifts, qualities to practice, understand, and live my Faith?
My answer… No.
I have so much to learn.
Can’t wait! 🙂
